Windows Installation

System Requirements

  • Windows 10 (version 1903 or later) or Windows 11
  • 64-bit processor
  • 4 GB RAM minimum
  • 100 MB available disk space
  • Internet connection for activation

Installation Steps

Download the Installer

Download the Guardian-X installer (.msi) from your organization's deployment portal or the link provided by your administrator.

Run the Installer

Double-click the downloaded file. If prompted by Windows Defender SmartScreen, click "More info" then "Run anyway" - the installer is digitally signed.

Complete Setup Wizard

Follow the installation wizard. Accept the license agreement and choose your installation location (default recommended).

Launch and Activate

Guardian-X will launch automatically. Enter your organization's license key to complete activation.

Enterprise Deployment: For mass deployment, Guardian-X supports silent installation via MSI with pre-configured license keys. Contact your account manager for enterprise deployment packages.

macOS Installation

System Requirements

  • macOS 11 Big Sur or later
  • Apple Silicon (M1/M2/M3) or Intel processor
  • 4 GB RAM minimum
  • 100 MB available disk space
  • Internet connection for activation

Installation Steps

Download the App

Download Guardian-X.dmg from your organization's deployment portal.

Open the DMG

Double-click the downloaded .dmg file to mount it.

Drag to Applications

Drag the Guardian-X icon to your Applications folder.

First Launch

Open Guardian-X from Applications. If you see a security prompt, go to System Preferences > Security & Privacy and click "Open Anyway".

Grant Permissions

Allow notifications when prompted. For location services, go to System Preferences > Security & Privacy > Privacy > Location Services.

Menu Bar: Guardian-X runs in your menu bar for quick access. Look for the Guardian-X icon in the top-right of your screen.

iOS Installation

System Requirements

  • iOS 14.0 or later
  • iPhone 8 or newer recommended
  • 50 MB available storage
  • Internet connection for activation

Installation Steps

Open the App Store

Search for "Guardian-X" in the App Store, or use the direct link provided by your organization.

Download and Install

Tap "Get" to download. Authenticate with Face ID, Touch ID, or your Apple ID password.

Open Guardian-X

Tap "Open" or find Guardian-X on your home screen.

Allow Notifications

Critical: Tap "Allow" when prompted for notifications. This is essential for receiving emergency alerts.

Enter License Key

Enter your organization's license key to connect your device.

Critical Alerts: Enable "Critical Alerts" in Settings > Guardian-X > Notifications to receive emergency alerts even when Do Not Disturb is enabled.

Android Installation

System Requirements

  • Android 8.0 (Oreo) or later
  • 2 GB RAM minimum
  • 50 MB available storage
  • Google Play Services
  • Internet connection for activation

Open Google Play Store

Search for "Guardian-X" or use the direct link provided by your organization.

Install the App

Tap "Install" and wait for the download to complete.

Open Guardian-X

Tap "Open" or find Guardian-X in your app drawer.

Grant Permissions

Allow notifications and optionally location access when prompted.

Disable Battery Optimization

Go to Settings > Apps > Guardian-X > Battery and select "Unrestricted" to ensure reliable alert delivery.

Enter License Key

Enter your organization's license key to complete setup.

Battery Optimization: Some Android manufacturers (Samsung, Xiaomi, Huawei) have aggressive battery optimization. Ensure Guardian-X is whitelisted to prevent missed alerts.

COMMON ISSUES

License Key Not Working

Ensure you're entering the key exactly as provided, including dashes. Check with your administrator that the license hasn't reached its device limit.

Not Receiving Notifications

Verify notifications are enabled in your device settings. On Android, check battery optimization settings.

Connection Issues

Guardian-X requires internet access. Check your network connection and ensure your firewall isn't blocking the app.

Security Software Blocking

Some antivirus software may flag new applications. Add Guardian-X to your security software's whitelist.
