Understanding Your Dashboard
When you open Guardian-X, you'll see your main dashboard. This is your central hub for emergency information and status updates.

During an Emergency
When an emergency is declared, Guardian-X will immediately alert you. Here's what to expect:
1. Alert Notification
You'll receive a push notification with a distinctive sound, even if your phone is on silent (if Critical Alerts are enabled).
2. Situation Details
Open the app to see full details: what's happening, affected areas, and instructions from your security team.
3. Acknowledge & Report Status
Tap to acknowledge and report your status: Safe, Need Help, Evacuating, or Sheltering in Place.
4. Stay Connected
Monitor the situation chat for updates. You can send messages to responders if needed.
Status Options Explained
When asked to report your status, choose the option that best describes your situation:
The Duress Alert
Guardian-X includes a special feature for personal emergencies: the Duress Alert. This allows you to discreetly signal that you're in danger.
When to Use Duress Alert
- You feel physically threatened
- You witness a crime or dangerous situation
- You need security assistance but can't call
- Any situation where you feel unsafe
Understanding Notifications
Guardian-X uses different notification types based on urgency:
Highest priority - bypasses Do Not Disturb, distinct alarm sound
Important updates during active emergencies
Broadcasts and non-emergency communications
Best Practices
Ensure your device has sufficient battery, especially during events or travel
Guardian-X notifications could be life-saving - keep them enabled
Updates include security improvements and new features
When asked to report status, respond as quickly as safely possible
