You'll receive a push notification with a distinctive sound, even if your phone is on silent (if Critical Alerts are enabled).

2. Situation Details

Open the app to see full details: what's happening, affected areas, and instructions from your security team.

3. Acknowledge & Report Status

Tap to acknowledge and report your status: Safe, Need Help, Evacuating, or Sheltering in Place.

4. Stay Connected

Monitor the situation chat for updates. You can send messages to responders if needed.

Your Safety First: Always follow official instructions from your security team and local emergency services. Guardian-X is a communication tool - your physical safety is the priority.

Status Options Explained

When asked to report your status, choose the option that best describes your situation:

Safe

You are in a secure location and not in immediate danger

Need Help

You require assistance - responders will be alerted to your location

Evacuating

You are currently leaving the affected area

Sheltering

You are sheltering in place as instructed

The Duress Alert

Guardian-X includes a special feature for personal emergencies: the Duress Alert. This allows you to discreetly signal that you're in danger.

When to Use Duress Alert

  • You feel physically threatened
  • You witness a crime or dangerous situation
  • You need security assistance but can't call
  • Any situation where you feel unsafe
Discrete Mode: Duress alerts can be configured to activate without visible confirmation on your screen, allowing you to signal for help without alerting a potential threat.
